Common Area Studio was founded in Hong Kong in 2018. Today we work in two ways: as a production house for fashion, campaign and product work, and as a social content partner for local health, wellness and fitness businesses on monthly retainers.

The people behind the studio
Hanson Fok
Founder and creative director
Hanson started his creative journey at university, when he (very fortunately) landed his first job as a production assistant on Alan Walker’s music video, shot in Hong Kong. He went on to produce more music videos here, specialising in working with overseas crews.
With a long-standing passion for business and branding, he founded Common Area in 2018. As creative director, he sets the studio’s creative standard and has helped brands from new start-ups to large enterprises such as HSBC and Meta launch, revamp and grow.

Kelly Chen
Partner, since 2025
